Kenya, October 2002

In October 2002, George and I went to Kenya on an 16 day trip. The first week we would travel around the Game Reserves and the next 10 days would be spend in a luxurious hotel in Mombasa North.

I have been trying to make a website ever since we got home from this wonderful experience. I never finished it, unfortunately… So now I am trying to recollect all these great memories and write blog posts about it. It might take me a long time before I have all the days online, but I am doing my best. Here is my first blog post about it: Kenya 2002.

Day 1: travel to Kenya
Day 2: travel from Nairobi to the Masai Mara National Reserve, aprox. 200 km. (first game drive!)
Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve – morning and afternoon game drives
Day 4: travel from Masai Mara National Reserve to Lake Nakuru National Park, aprox 200 km.
Day 5: travel from Lake Nakuru National Park to Amboseli National Park – lunch at the Carnivore in Nairobi, aprox 450 km.
Day 6: travel from Amboseli National Park to Tsavo West National Park, aprox. 180 km.
Day 7: travel from Tsavo West National Park to Tsavo East National Park- Mzima Springs stop, aprox. 100 km.
Day 8: travel from Tsavo East National Park to Mombasa, aprox 180 km.
Days 9 – 15: Voyager Beach Resort Mombasa.
Day 16: fly from Mombasa to Nairobi, then Nairobi to Schiphol, Amsterdam.
